Green Open Air Theaters Award

The Association was founded in 2000 to promote the works of contemporary playwrights. The activities of EAT are : promoting or providing public readings, disseminating and publicizing the authors' texts, identifying companies and producing, etc.

In 2011, the network has established a partnership with "Les Ecrivains Associés du Théâtre"  which allowed the creation of the Award.  

It aims to reward a contemporary living author, allowing his work to be adapted and staged in a theater of the network.  

The Award thus fosters artistic practice in green open air theaters and involves contemporary creation, beyond the more traditional repertoire which is often linked to these places.
