In 2011, the network has established a partnership with "Les Ecrivains Associés du Théâtre"(Writers for theater) which allowed the creation of the Award.
It aims to reward a contemporary living author, allowing his work to be adapted and staged in a theater of the network.
The Award thus fosters artistic practice in green open air theaters and involves contemporary creation, beyond the more traditional repertoire which is often linked to these places.
The Association was founded in 2000 to promote the works of contemporary playwrights. The activities of EAT are : promote or provide public readings, disseminate and publicize the
authors' texts, identify companies and producing, etc..
